The cashmere used in this piece was hand-spun in Srinagar. Traditionally carried out by women, pashmina is spun by hand on a wooden spinning wheel called a charkha, which is unfortunately disappearing in order to reduce production costs. By choosing this piece, you are helping to preserve traditional skills and support artisan communities.

This scarf is made from luxurious pashmina yarn, three times thicker than the thin pashmina used in traditional ring shawls.
Small in size but big on warmth, this soft scarf contains as much cashmere as our 1m x 2m real pashmina plain shawl!
